Cataract surgery has had incredible advancements in the last two years. In fact, many now consider cataract surgery a "refractive surgery". This means the goal of cataract surgery is not only to remove the cataract but also to improve the final uncorrected vision of the operative eye.
In order to accomplish this goal it is important to have accurate pre-operative measurements and a viable surgical plan. This may include additional surgery for astigmatism correction. Dr. Griswold is committed to making your surgical experience as "stress free" as possible. Dr. Griswold' skill as a surgeon, his operating "team" and eye outpatient surgery center, makes for a pleasant, comfortable as well as successful cataract surgery experience.

Dr. Griswold utilizes the LaCholla Day Surgery facility (New in March of 2000) for his outpatient surgeries. The staff here is dedicated to providing the best quality of ophthalmic care available.

Dr. Griswold has recently purchased the Zeiss-Humphery system "IOL Master," considered by many to be the most accurate preoperative implant measuring device available. Again, all of your preoperative measurements are done by Dr. Griswold himself. Dr. Griswold has done thousands of cataract surgeries right here in southern Arizona, and would be happy to see you or offer a second opinion regarding your cataracts.
